Who are Maison Louis Marie?

Maison Louis Marie began with Louis Marie Aubert du Petit Thouars, a pioneering French botanist, exiled to Madagascar, La Reunion and the Mauritius Islands during the French revolution, where he collected over 2,000 plant specimens. The story continued 200 years later with Marie du Petit Thouars utilising the family’s rich botanical history to inspire the creation of Maison Louis Marie, with luxury candles, perfumes and skincare imbued with unique floral fragrances.

Maison Louis Marie had limited distribution in the UK through independent stockists. The brand recognised the potential of the UK and were looking to build a more substantial UK presence.

Our work provided a high level of insight and information to build a considered UK market entry strategy for Maison Louis Marie. It assessed the best-fit target retailers, set out a top line marketing plan and identified priority actions to prepare for a UK market entry. It resulted in a sales forecast which determined the level of investment needed to build a long-term sustainable business.

The Result

The brand launched its direct-to-consumer business in 2024 and launched into Boots’ new Fragrance Hub concept in October 2025.
