The simplest word to explain in that question is “consultancy” so let’s return to that shortly.
Strategy has so many different meanings and there are thousands of business books dedicated to that one word. For us strategy is about forward thinking, it’s about understanding where the business might go and how it will get there. It’s about agreeing a vision for the business and then using a set of activities to achieve that vision. If we focus on brands then those activities will include marketing and communications, pricing (low vs high?), selecting the right channels to reach your customer and much more.
Strategic thinking helps define what your brand is and can be. We think that strategic thinking is like building a house. You wouldn’t put the windows on until you have a strong foundation. Once the foundation is in place you can move forward with certainty. It’s no different with a new or established brand.
Once completed, a strategic plan will deliver clarity on how to move forward and will guide you to achieving your objectives. Without one your thinking will become opportunistic and without clear direction.
